When we knew our baby wasn't coming back to us, we decided that Shane, being the loving, generous and kindhearted child that he was, would have wanted to give the gift of life.
Because of Shane's Gift. A woman at age 45 was given a liver and is doing great today. A woman at age 23 was given a kidney and a man at age 26 was given a kidney. Children were given his heart valves.
Although this was one of the hardest decisions in our entire life, I do believe today we did the right thing. Because of Shane, others will live to be with there love ones for many years to come. |
