On August 24, 2001, our lives changed forever.  Our beautiful 14 year old son left us after fighting for his life for 7 long days after an automobile accident coming home from school.
Shane came into our lives on June 5, 1987 in Long Beach, CA.  From the very beginning he was definately a beautiful child.  His love for life was neverending.   Even though to most he seemed shy.  If you took the time to know him you would truely know his kind, generous, and loving heart.
He did most things with his family, where he just seemed to be more comfortable.  And loved with all his heart and we loved him too.  He could never pass one of us without touching one of us, whether it was a hug, kiss or simply a backrub.
When he was younger he enjoyed playing little league baseball, as he became older he loved basketball and played 2 years in 5th and 6th grade and several in the boys and girls club.  During those years he took up the drums and the piano and golf.  He truely put his heart and soul in everything he did, but there was something about music that he just had the love for and anyone who knew him would truely know.
He has played the piano for several years.  He would absolutely touch your heart.  He's played at Clouse Hall, and has won several ribbons and trophies.  He was so proud of his trophies.  He would take them down and shine them everytime he added one.  His favorite artists were Bach and Beethoven.
He also had the love for the drums.  This summer was the first year he had played in the Southmont Marching Band and he was truely proud.  He always tried to be as good as his brother and I do believe he was well on his way.  They enjoyed "jamming together" and the house has never been the same.
He also had a love for golf.  He had played in the Central Indiana Junior Golf League for the last 2 years.  This last spring he made the Southmont Jr. High Golf Team.  He was so proud and so were we.   He also played in the Mountain Dew Tour this last summer.  He just couldn't hit as hard as most, but he wouldn't quit, he just tried even harder.  Everything he did he was serious about.   His favorite person to golf with was his dad.
He also loved Playstation.  He'd play it all the time if we'd let him.
He was really close to his family, and spent most of his time with us.  He only got to spend 3 days of 8th grade and why he was taken from us we will never understand.
We will miss everything about him and watching him grow, drive, graduate, get married, have children.  Only what might of been, and We're sure it would have been amazing.   We miss him and out hearts will never be the same without him.  He will always remember the love he filled out hearts and lives with and I hope yours too.
